The Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, Byrganym Aitimova, presented the draft state program "Patriotic education of citizens of Kazakhstan." It is assumed that the program will form a model of Kazakhstan patriotism. The final goal of the program, according to the minister, is “to ensure that the flag of Kazakhstan hangs in every window, and the people of Kazakhstan put their hands on their chests at the sight of the national flag and sang a hymn”.

The program of patriotic education was developed on the instructions of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. The program consists of 4 thematic sections - national unity, a citizen and a state: mutual responsibility, family and social relations, a portrait of a modern Kazakhstani patriot. The project provides for “introducing into the curriculum of school subjects additional educational materials that bring up a patriotic worldview in schoolchildren. Create and distribute orienting thematic scenarios for celebrating public holidays. To broadcast on central and regional TV channels programs on patriotic, spiritual and moral education. ”

“Our citizens do not want to go on holidays, they don’t sing the hymn and don’t hang flags at home,” the minister said. “We need to do everything possible to correct this situation,” she added.

“Kazakhstan's patriotism is the conscious responsibility of every citizen for fate, security, and the future of their country,” the program noted.

According to the results of sociological studies of the Ministry of Education and Science, out of 2,000 surveyed more than 15% of Kazakhs do not consider themselves to be citizens of their country; among representatives of other nationalities, the figure reaches more than 30%.

However, the deputy of the Majilis of the parliament, Serik Abdrakhmanov, believes that it is impossible to blame the guys who do not consider their homeland Kazakhstan. “Why do they feel like strangers?” This is the fault of the authorities, our fault. We have forgotten pensioners, they receive very little, they have forgotten the villagers. Therefore, it is quite natural that for a certain share of Kazakhstanis Kazakhstan did not become a homeland, ”says Abdrakhmanov.

In Aitimova’s opinion, “a factor shaping the atmosphere of weakened attention to patriotism in the public environment is that the cultural environment of Kazakhstan has become an arena of international popular culture that has little in common with universal human values.”

- In our market time, a lot of young people have appeared, who even occupy official positions, consider the country where their money lies as their homeland. These are the patriots of Switzerland. Byrganym Sarievna on time took up the education of patriots. She lived and worked abroad, saw how people honor their homeland, their flag. And where are our flags? - says Abdrakhmanov.

The efforts of the minister have already supported youth organizations. Recently, a patriotic action “This is our flag” was held in Astana as part of the IV Youth Congress. At the initiative of the republican student movement “Alliance of Students of Kazakhstan” ten thousand students and schoolchildren of the country passed with a 200-square-meter flag. to the performance of 40 drummers “Zhas Ulan”, singing a popular folk song in the country and shouting patriotic statements: “Raise the flag high, glorify Kazakhstan!”.

Youth action ended a disco. Students and schoolchildren were already shouting not slogans, but words of songs by American performers, trampling down Kazakhstan’s paper flags, which still proudly carried in the afternoon ...

I wanted to buy the flag of Kazakhstan somehow. About 4 thousand tenge is large. Sorry, can not afford. I had to restrict the small paper, but it was expensive. And in European countries, national flags can be bought everywhere and inexpensively.
