We are 2 years old!
Dear friends, we are changing from this issue. The design of the main, “paper” version of our magazine is changing. And this is due not only and not so much to the fact that, quite likely, the old design has already become “boring” for someone. Just this number - the anniversary, as the "Oasis" was exactly two years old.

Year without issue
This year there will be no graduates in Turkmenistan. Neither school nor university. After returning to the 10-year education system, all those who studied under the truncated Niyazov program will not graduate from school after 9 years of study, but will go to the 10th grade.

Hot march
If there is August in Russia, then there is March in Kyrgyzstan. It seems this spring will be as hot as the last two. Almost every day, the country's politicians make opposite statements. In general, not to be bored. The new united opposition (although they are still far from complete unity) requires early presidential elections.

Pisaki forever unhappy
Access to official information remains a problem for journalists in Tajikistan, and this despite the fact that over the past two years there has been a positive trend to hold quarterly press conferences in all ministries and departments of the republic. An analysis of recent press conferences at the end of the year shows that in most cases, representatives of the press services mostly invite state-owned media or hold meetings with one or two journalists.

Who to be?
Young people of Kazakhstan prefer the profession of lawyer and computer technician. And the specialty oilman has become particularly popular in recent times. At all times, young people tormented the question - where to go to learn? What to prefer - work for the soul or work with high income?

Eurasian duet
In mid-March, the visit of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov to Astana will take place. The trip of the head of the Russian government to Kazakhstan takes place against the background of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in all spheres. The economic outcome of bilateral relations in 2006 proved to be very successful.

Cops at the crossroads
The police reports of the first month of the beginning of the year in Kyrgyzstan were reminiscent of hot front-lines: the loud contract killing of a large business representative in Osh oblast, the sensational gunfights of the leaders of the criminal world with SOBR fighters in the vicinity of Bishkek, the elimination of several of the most active members of an organized criminal group and professional killers.
