Hearing test
Oleg Panfilov
For several weeks now, an event has been discussed, which politicians nostalgic for the USSR were waiting for, as well as shedding tears by compatriots who believe that the Soviet Union was a model. A model of the friendship of peoples, in which there were no "persons of Caucasian nationality" and other "pasties". The model of economic prosperity, in which sausages and boiled sausage were valued more than comfortable clothes or the opportunity to see Venice.

16 years after the collapse of the Soviet Empire, there are still enough lovers to remind about it. Different options are offered - from a clumsy association within the framework of the CIS, to a strange creation called the SCO, which the experts dubbed the Union of Beggars and Dictators.

In Kyrgyzstan, they decided to recall the Soviet past and possible future. The opposition United Front “For a Deserving Future of Kyrgyzstan” submitted to the Ministry of Justice of the country a package of documents necessary to start the process of forming a union with Russia. Thus, Felix Kulov and his supporters suggested initiating a referendum, in which the people's will should speak in favor of uniting Kyrgyzstan, torn apart by “revolutions”, with a completely imperial Kremlin in the spirit of its foreign policy activities. That is, Russia.

Two features of the initiative:

1. Felix Kulov - the man in the country is very famous. He was the second person in the power hierarchy - the vice-president of democratic Kyrgyzstan in the days of the liberal Askar Akayev. He was also the most famous political prisoner of authoritarian Kyrgyzstan in the days of Askar Akayev, who already suffered dictatorial inclinations. In the interval between these events - the Minister of the Interior, State Security, the mayor of Bishkek, the governor of the region.

2. The economic situation of Kyrgyzstan as a result of the rule of Askar Akayev and the revolutionary “achievements” of Kurmanbek Bakiyev is in a state close to a catastrophe. The number of economic migrants from Kyrgyzstan to Russia is increasing every month.

But a few weeks passed, and the initiative did not receive any development. Why?

Firstly, I doubt that Felix Sherschenbaevich has never seen a map of the former USSR, on which Kyrgyzstan and Russia have no common border. Between the two countries is a huge territory of Kazakhstan, in which President Nursultan Nazarbayev may lose his favorite fun - to invent various integration unions and associations, and his plans are unlikely to create an enclave from Kazakhstan within the Russian-Kyrgyz association. I can hardly imagine the degree of his surprise after the words of Felix Kulov ...

Secondly, in the words of Felix Kulov I did not notice the mention of the Russians, from whom, it seems, if we recall the existence of the Constitution, something depends, including the government of Russia.

But most importantly, in my opinion, it was an unsuccessful attempt by Felix Kulov to say that it envisaged an increase in his authority in the fight against former supporter Kurmanbek Bakiyev. And if we take into account the peculiarities of the history of the Kyrgyz “revolution”, then sooner or later such an initiative should have appeared.

She is pleasant to the Kremlin.

It is convenient for politicians.

But completely pointless.

So, hearing test ...
