Step forward two back ...
For Russia and its two closest allies in Central Asia — Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan — 2007 was a year of parliamentary elections. In each of the three countries, these elections were held at a turning point, and the vector of further development of the state depended on the results of the campaigns. Goodbye communism
The deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh adopted a resolution, according to which Kyrgyzstan’s Day will now commemorate the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repression. The Legislative Chamber decided that this day will be October 30th. Certainly, the mournful date of commemoration of those who died from state terror was necessary for our society.

Flying "plates"
In Turkmenistan, again shock. After the departure of Turkmenbashi, the new government has not yet conducted such a massive interference with the privacy of ordinary citizens. It was he who ordered to demolish all the fences and duvaly around private houses, demolished these private houses, clearing the place for new buildings, ordered the gold teeth to be replaced with white ones, well, what did not invent it, the inventor was still that.
