Born in 1967 in the city of Osh (Kyrgyzstan). In 1992 he graduated from the history department of the Osh State Pedagogical Institute (now a university).
He began his career as a journalist in 1994, at the editorial office of the city’s newspaper Vecherny Osh. He was the founder and chief editor of the newspaper “Delovoy Osh” (1996–98). In 1998-2001 headed the popular newspaper Osh-PARK.
Since April 2001 he has been working on projects of the Osh Media Resource Center: PR Assistant, expert in monitoring the Media Support Project of the Central Asian countries, at present - the editor of MediaInsight Central Asia (MICA) in Kyrgyzstan.
Since 2001, at the same time he has been a media expert at the Public Association “Journalists”.
He did an internship in the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper, was a participant in the East-East youth program (Slovakia), and attended a professional journalism course at Thomson Foundation (United Kingdom). He was also a listener for FOJO (Journalists Retraining Center, Sweden) and a participant in the international program “Independent Mass Media of the USA”.
The winner of the competition "Aspiration-2004" ("Internews-Kyrgyzstan"), awarded for originality, creativity and professionalism; participant in many trainings on the media, winner of various competitions, is coaching in journalism.
He is interested in political science, is engaged in research work in the field of interethnic relations in the south of Kyrgyzstan, is fond of literature, photography and crossword puzzles.
